Invitation: strong insulating concrete

Hot concrete in the Netherlands allows for very tight detailing because no thermal bridge break is required. A window can therefore be placed almost or entirely framelessly in the concrete.

At the Light Concreteness meeting on Thursday, Oct. 24, 6:30 p.m. at TU Eindhoven, Siebe Bakker of bureaubakker presents the development of this special material. Niels Tilanus of Rink Tilanus architects explains the design of Natuurmonumenten's warm concrete office in Zierikzee.

There will also be two international architects presenting their work on the theme of the contrast between daylight and solid concrete.
