Discover the five bocad modules for steel building and metal construction

Liemar is Schuller & Company's Value Added Reseller of bocad, the 3D construction software program for steel building and metal construction. For each specialty, bocad offers the tools to design, refine and build. To make it as easy as possible for users, several modules are available: Steel, Roof & Wall, Timber, Tower and Offshore. Below is a brief overview of what each module has to offer.

bocad Steel

This module offers you a complete solution for modeling and fabricating all types of steel structures: general steel structures, stairs and railings, bridges, sheet metal works, from small to large architectural and industrial projects. The modern user interface provides a logical workflow that allows you to design and model projects quickly and accurately. All drawings, bills of materials and NC data required for fabrication and construction always match the model and are of high quality. With its powerful integration capabilities, you can use bocad to create the digital twins needed for BIM projects.

bocad Roof and Wall

This is the BIM solution for cladding facades and roofs of buildings and aluminum structures. A wide range of catalogs from leading suppliers of panels, flashings and aluminum profiles is available and you can add to them yourself. Automatic marking and generation of drawings and bills of materials, such as installation plans, palletization plans, glass cut lists and order lists, are just a few examples of the capabilities of bocad Roof and Wall. You can use this module stand-alone or as an add-on.

bocad Timber

This module focuses on all structures related to timber construction and prefabricated housing. Various tools are available for designing complex straight or curved glulam beams, including steel structures and joints. For houses, commercial and industrial buildings, you get help in creating panels for walls, roofs and ceilings in frame structures or transverse laminated wood. You can expand the package with interfaces for CNC machines, cladding and glass facades.

bocad tower

This module contains a large library of specific rule-based tools for modeling angular, tubular and monopole towers for power transmission, substations and telecommunications. It has a unique feature for efficient 3D modeling of complicated structures such as cross arms and hip bracing and is excellent for producing accurate products according to tower industry requirements in a short time. It prevents rework, optimizes the amount of raw materials and accelerates mass production. It is recognized as the global reference for 3D tower detailing.

bocad Offshore

It provides you with a range of specific tools for offshore and maritime projects, such as: wellhead and production platforms, topsides, jackets, spars, semi-submersibles, tension leg platforms (TLP), jack-up rigs, floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) and wind farms. It has a unique capability to enable 3D modeling in general arrangement drawings, saving much time for revisions and ensuring design drawings are always up-to-date. It includes weight control reports, profile cutting plans, automatic weld seam marking, rolled plate unfolding and 3D pipe profiling.
