Meco Metal also uses LiemarX ERP software

Meco is 1 of the 4 steel construction companies that, as of January 1 this year, are going to fully control their business processes with the new ERP software. For Meco itself, this is an important moment because they actually already had a system, but it was no longer adequate.

Satisfaction with cooperation.

Harry Seijkens, business manager at Meco is particularly pleased with the process and implementation. First of all because, as Harry formally informed us by e-mail on January 22nd:

And secondly, and this is something Harry Seijkens and Jan van Hapert RI of Liemar would like to emphasize, by the relentless efforts of Vera Vannuffelen, Project Leader LiemarX at Meco and Barry van den Reek, Technical Director at Liemar, who have picked up and accomplished this project in a great way.

The technology can be as good as it is, but in the end it is the people who have to do it, and that is certainly true for a new implementation of an ERP solution. Without these 2 core colleagues, the project would certainly have stalled.

What made this implementation special was the completely new approach that Meco and Liemar chose together regarding the implementation of the Work Preparation module in the ERP system.

This involves the LEAN methodology.

Meco had long wanted to do this differently than they were used to, but their old work preparation software system stood in their way.

Now the way was clear for Remi Moonen, Workshop Manager and one of the Lean Leaders within the management of Meco Metal, to start eliminating waste in time and materials in their workshop.

Remi made a special effort to get the entire production, work preparation and planning completely right on track. He succeeded 100% in doing so.

Meco and Liemar look back on a successful implementation and are embarking on a fruitful collaboration in the years to come.
