On November 20, 2025, the 66th edition of the Concrete Event will take place at Congrescentrum 1931 in Den Bosch. After years in the Van Nelle Factory in Rotterdam, this is the first time that the largest knowledge and networking event for the concrete sector will descend on North Brabant. The choice of the new location has been received with great enthusiasm. Congress Center 1931 not only offers the space and facilities to make the event run smoothly, but also an environment in which lectures, meetings and exhibition floor reinforce each other optimally.
A tradition of innovation
The Concrete Association emphasizes that change contributes to renewal. Whereas the Doelen and later the Van Nelle Factory were a familiar setting for many years, the move to Den Bosch is a conscious choice. “As a national association, we find it important to be visible in different places in the Netherlands,” says Maikel Jagroep, director of the Concrete Association. “The move coincides with an important content tipping point. For the past three years, the theme of the program has been ‘en route’ to sustainable and circular concrete. On November 20, this theme will be concluded and the starting signal will be given for a new series that will take further shape from 2027.”

Inspiration
One of the highlights of the day is the keynote by Mark Lammers, former national team coach and innovator in the sports world. He is known for his inspiring way of looking at change, innovation and collaboration. “During his contribution he will hint at the theme for the coming years,” Jagroep reveals. In addition, the congress offers a rich program of 12 lectures divided into four program lines:
Development of new materials;
Adaptive and circular design, procurement and delivery;
Life extension and reuse of concrete;
Social capital.
“The content lines were put together by the program committee led by Edwin de Kuiper, who once again managed to put together an attractive and relevant offering.”

Podcast as a preview
Connection is key. Not only during the event itself, but also in the run-up to it. In cooperation with Harm Edens, the Concrete Association is launching a new podcast series: In Groen Beton Gegoten (Cast in Green Concrete). “In it, experts from science, contracting, engineering and architectural firms and concrete companies discuss the future of concrete as a building material,” Jagroep says. “A number of episodes have already been recorded and will be published ahead of the event. During the Concrete Event, the tenth and final episode will be recorded live from the congress where Edens will interview several guests.”
With a strong mix of content, inspiration and meeting, Concrete Event 2025 promises to be a celebration of knowledge and connection.
Concrete Experience
The Concrete Event also explicitly targets students. With the Concrete Experience, the event opens a large space where companies present themselves and young talent can literally feel, taste and smell concrete. “With this component, we build an important bridge between education and practice, and it attracts a large number of students every year,” Jagroep knows. Incidentally, the association has no complaints in terms of enthusiasm. “Interest in the 2025 edition is high. All the spots on the exhibition floor are already taken. That confirms the value of the Concrete Event as a meeting place and knowledge platform.”
The Concrete Association looks forward to welcoming visitors to Den Bosch and invites everyone from the concrete world to attend. With a strong mix of content, inspiration and meeting, Concrete Event 2025 promises to be a celebration of knowledge and connection as well as the beginning of a new chapter in the future of concrete.
