Solid foundation for stage presentation "Turning back"

In June, the new presentation will open at the National Military Museum "Downside ". An impressive reflection on the impact of military missions, focusing not only on the battle, but especially on the aftermath. This exhibit reminds us of the responsibility societies bear for sending military personnel out and the lasting scars military operations can leave.

Van Ee Steel Specialists | EECULAIR is proud to have been commissioned by Heijmans, also had the opportunity to contribute to this significant project. Previously, we supplied the stairs, balustrades, walkways, elevator shafts and structural engineering for the museum.

What we realized for the exhibition:

  • Technical design: Based on the museum designer's final design (DO), we created a detailed technical drawing.
  • Production and assembly: We produced and assembled the complete steel structure, including panels and mirror finishes. These panels symbolize the fragmentary nature of memories and the fragility of human experiences.
  • Custom Attachment: Each panel is placed at the correct angle to match the artistic vision of the exhibition.
  • Collaboration and timing: The jeep itself, weighing approximately 3500 kg, was placed on the scaffold. We provided a solid base, with a maximum floor load of 800 kg per m².

With our craftsmanship, we hope to contribute to an exhibit that touches and makes visitors think, and makes tangible the often invisible downside of military operations.
