Platform on concrete and steel in construction
With this competition, Zinkinfo wants to show a sample of applications of hot-dip galvanizing. Hot-dip galvanizing offers designers and clients many advantages. Especially the long life and low maintenance are important assets of this preservation system. Moreover, designers appreciate the beautiful aging process of hot-dip galvanized steel, which actually only gets more beautiful with age.
Since the 2019 edition, the Trophy subscribes to the philosophy of the SEATTLE ZINC campaign in which a distinction is made between Functional Galvanizing and Aesthetic Galvanizing. In addition, a separate category was created for Duplex (galvanizing + coating). After careful consideration, the jury arrived at the following nominations:
The nominated projects will now advance to the second and final round on April 30, where judges will select one winner per category.
All submitted projects will be widely featured in a book that will be delivered to all submitters and stakeholders. There will also be a digital edition of the Zinkinfo Magazine featuring all participating projects from the competition. On the is a page dedicated to each project.
Zinkinfo believes it is incredibly important for the construction industry to put its weight behind the circular economy. Circular construction should be promoted, and for that reason, an award will also be given on April 30 to a project that explicitly subscribes to the philosophy of circular construction.
