Building Holland 2020 rescheduled due to coronavirus

Building Holland 2020 moved due to coronavirus

The innovation event Building Holland scheduled for March 24, 25 and 26, 2020 in RAI Amsterdam will be moved to the last week of October due to the coronavirus. Partners of Building Holland support and appreciate this decision.

Although the Dutch government has not yet imposed any restrictive measures regarding the organization of trade shows, Easyfairs is choosing to move Building Holland. This is due to the unpredictability and inevitability of the corona virus, which is beyond Easyfairs' control. Globally, there is a force majeure situation leading to uncertainty among participants and visitors. The decision to move the event was unavoidable. Moreover, Easyfairs in no way wants to endanger the health of visitors, participants and its own staff and contribute to a further spread of the virus.

Building Holland 2020 is a combination of a qualitative field of participants and an extensive content program with more than 150 speakers, side-events and innovation boulevards. The focus is on making the Netherlands more sustainable against the backdrop of climate goals.

Ambassadors and partners of Building Holland responded positively to the decision to move the event. "The impact of corona is hitting our country ever more severely. It demands something of all of us. Incredibly good that Building Holland is taking responsibility for our public health. A careful decision that shows sustainable action. Postponement is not a cancellation, I will in any case be there in October," said Claudia Reiner, vice president Techniek NL.

Onno Dwars, director of Ballast Nedam Development, concurs. He speaks of a "wise decision. "Health comes first. In October I will definitely be there."

John Lens, director of TVVL, calls the move a logical step: "TVVL's members and knowledge partners are well represented at Building Holland every year and actively share knowledge there. The decision to move to October is a logical and right decision for us in the context of health and safety. We are happy to be there again in October 2020!"
