HECO calculation software HCS expanded with module for the application of concrete anchors in masonry

The calculation software HCS 4.0 provided by HECO Schrauben as a service has been expanded to include a new module for calculating fasteners in masonry. Using the new module of the calculation software, planners and construction professionals can now also calculate the application of screw anchors in different types of masonry.

For the calculation of the load and application of screw anchors, the calculation software HCS has a module for anchor dimensioning. In version HCS 4.0, this module offers an additional advantage: since HECO's MULTI-MONTI-plus screw anchors have a general approval for fixings in masonry under fire exposure, the calculation of this special application is now also possible with the calculation module. In addition, HCS now shows all common brick types for masonry such as brick, (solid) sand-lime brick, sand-lime brick XL and aerated concrete. The big advantage for planners: thanks to the HCS calculations, they can verify the safe and cost-efficient use of fasteners and are presented with possible solutions for fasteners in construction orders with just a few clicks.

Accurate calculations

For almost 15 years, designers, planners, calculators and craftsmen have benefited from the good calculation software HCS from HECO. The software supports in choosing the right products for timber structures and fixings. The software intuitively guides users through the program and offers them a choice of six main modules; from wall fixing, mounting guardrails and roof insulation to calculating proof of uplift, timber structures and facades. After entering the specific project data, the software assesses which type of screw is most suitable for the desired application. At the same time, based on calculations, the software indicates with which screws and in what quantities the most durable solution will be achieved. The results and the 3D graphics form the basis for the calculation and work preparation.

Automatic updates

The HECO calculation software HCS 4.0 is available in seven languages and can be downloaded free of charge at HECO-Schrauben.co.uk or requested as a CD-ROM. Once installed, updates are performed automatically. Other useful features: a YouTube button gives the user access to useful application videos. In addition, under the "latest news" button, upcoming exhibitions and training dates of the HECO-Academy can be found.

The calculation software HCS 4.0 from HECO offers the possibility to calculate timber and other joints accurately in just a few steps. From now on, planners and craftsmen can quickly and easily calculate the application of anchors in masonry in addition to applications in concrete in the new module.
