Hünnebeck has expanded its successful Topec floor formwork system with the type Topec DH. With this, the company is responding to market demand for floor formwork systems with drop-head system. The Topec DH, which is based on the panel design proven in practice, includes a lightweight aluminum girder, advanced drop head and flexible fittings.
Larger grid size saves work
In practice, Topec DH offers contractors the opportunity to save on work. The system is based on a 1.8 m x 2.4 m grid; which is 25% larger than other comparable systems. The larger grid size requires fewer supports, allowing the contractor to handle fewer components on site. The designers were able to achieve the larger grid size without compromising the weight of the components - the system's heaviest single element weighs less than 20 kg, making the system easy and safe to handle.
Problem-free realization of sloping surfaces
Another innovation of the Topec DH system: sloping surfaces, such as those often found in parking garages, are often inefficient. Topec DH was designed specifically with this challenge in mind. With a possible gradient of 8 %, rising and falling surfaces as well as ramps are easily possible. This is achieved using only standard system components, thus avoiding confusion over special components - the same system transitions seamlessly from flat to inclined.
An essential component for this is the compensation beam which, thanks to a unique construction, adapts to the irregular geometry allowing system clean, tight and leak-free closure. The compensation beam and drop head further differentiate themselves during stripping. By establishing a positive connection at the drop head, the compensation beam is simply rotated away from the slab after which, without risk of falling, it can be easily and safely processed by whoever removes the props.
Lightshore support system for added benefits
The Lightshore lightweight aluminum support system enables further labor savings through its seamless connection to the Topec DH system. The Lightshore support can be installed quickly and easily by one man. Installation can be performed safely from the ground, eliminating the need for ladders at this stage of the work.
