Fully automated production with Dutch product

At the moment we are working hard on the latest drill from APS Europe. The new RDR-1036 has many features. In addition to carbide drilling, milling, tapping, surveying, scribing and weld edge milling, this machine has SUB axes. Each drill axis can move 600 mm in the X direction. A major advantage of this is that all drill axes can perform simultaneous and independent machining operations. Three drill axes simultaneously marking off or performing a milling operation has never been faster. The RDR-1036 features feed rolls with a maximum feed rate of 60 m/min. Also, the RDR-1036 features three tool magazines with 12 tool slots each.

Fully automatic  RT-10 infeed and outfeed cross conveyors are part of the RBR-1036. Combined with the Autosorter, head/tail pieces and short products are discharged fully automatically. Without interference from an operator, giving the possibility of manless production. Elevator and carry systems ensure noise-free  supply/disposal of materials. Carriage cams in the transverse conveyors have given way to smooth chains.

Bandsaw
Along with revolutionary drilling naturally comes an all-new band saw. In cooperation with a German bandsaw manufacturer, APS has developed an entirely new generation of bandsaws. The new APS RS-1300 saw can cut double mitre angles. Revolutionary about this RS-1300 is its sawing motion. The bandsaw starts with a cutting angle of 17 degrees and then twists to 3 degrees. This allows for much faster cuts. To cut through the body of an HEA 1000 with a standard cutting angle of 3 degrees, the saw normally has to work extremely hard and the tool life will drop quickly. This is a thing of the past with the RS-1300. Benefits include longer tool life, faster cutting time and significant cost savings. The saw table lowers below the roller conveyor level, so the material has no resistance from the saw table. Tighteners always adjust to the presets for the material being cut. Control of the dimensions of the materials to be cut eliminates errors.

Additional new feature the RDR-1001
The RS-1300 can be fitted with an RDR-1001 feed-through roller. The big advantage is that the header no longer needs to be sawn by hand. The RDR-1001 can process the headpiece fully automatically. At any desired angle.  This throughput is also 60 m/min and free of any desired cutting angle.

Upcoming deliveries
Large steel construction companies have already gone before you and ordered a fully automatic RDR-1036 in combination with the RS-1300. Automatic loading of the blast machine is also included.

Holland Staal BV has chosen an RDR-1036 with an RS-1300 and full automation, including disposal of residual lengths on special transverse transport behind the zero line and automatic loading of the blast machine. Delivery is scheduled for mid-April 2019.

Vic Obdam BV also chose an RDR-1036 with an RS-1300 and full automation. Delivery: April/May 2019.

Software
Very simple operation, software links with drawing programs/ERP and SAB systems, Windows (Multi-Pro) software with time recording at machining level, instant insight into production progress, ready for production, in production and completion reports. Production results are registered per operator. Automatic notifications for maintenance intervals.

Integrated work preparation module, links to existing work preparation programs. Advanced optimization program for automatic nesting of one or more projects, printout of order forms and picklists.

Own mobile App for such things as reporting production downtime, saw lists, picklists, timekeeping and message service for machine operator.

Activities
Due to a growing dealer network, Australia is currently one of the largest markets besides the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. Due to expected growth, Germany, France, Spain and Italy, among others, will soon follow. In addition, contacts have been made with dealers in Japan, Taiwan, China and America. As a result, APS Europe will grow into a major player in the world of steel construction in a few years.
