SCHÖCK LANCEERT ISOKORF® CXT WITH GLASSVEZELCOMPOSITE

SCHÖCK LAUNCHES ISOKORF® CXT WITH FIBERGLASS COMPOSITE

Schöck Nederland markets a new anchoring system to thermally separate cantilevered building parts such as balconies and galleries: the Isokorf® CXT.

A unique feature of the CXT is that the stainless steel tie rods have been replaced with fiberglass composite (Combar®), improving thermal performance up to 30%. By Combar® and Isocorf® together, Schöck sets the new standard for thermal insulation. At the same time, the Isokorf® CXT an answer to meet more stringent BENG requirements.

BENG: nearly energy neutral buildings

From January 1, 2021, all new buildings in the Netherlands must be nearly energy neutral buildings (BENG). To test this, the maximum energy demand (kWh) and the maximum primary fossil energy use (kWh) per m2 of usable area per year will be limited. This means a higher requirement for the building envelope, making thermal bridges an increasingly important factor. For future-proof new construction and renovation, it is important to take this into account now and choose sustainable alternatives.

Application of fiberglass

Fiberglass is a unique material consisting of corrosion-resistant, exceptionally densely packed glass fibers bonded using vinyl ester resin. After curing, profiles and coating are applied. The result is a reinforcing material with unique static, physical and durable properties that offers numerous advantages: minimal thermal conductivity, high tensile strength and durability, resistance to chemicals, high fire resistance, non-corrosive and non-conductive or magnetizable.

New chapter for thermal insulation

The greatest advantage of the Schöck Isocorf® CXT is its exceptionally low thermal conductivity. Schöck Nederland thus ushers in a new chapter for thermal insulation and offers a solution that allows buildings to meet stringent energy performance not only now but also in the future. The lighter and more compact CXT is also easier to work with in prefabricated balconies and galleries. A lighter more compact element also means that expensive transport methods can be avoided.
