During Steel Construction Day, Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022, the winners of the National Steel Award 2022 and National Sustainability Award Steel 2022 were announced.
The expert jury, chaired by architect Sjoerd Soeters (PPHP), awarded a National Steel Prize 2022 to a total of five building projects, one in each participation category. In addition, one of the participating projects was awarded the National Sustainability Award Steel 2022. This cross-category prize is for the participating project that, according to the expert jury, scores best in terms of sustainability.

Industrial construction:
- Wila, The Tool, Lochem
Housing:
- The Platform, Utrecht
Infrastructure:
- Prince Claus Bridge, Dordrecht
Characteristic steel building components:
- National Holocaust Names Monument, Amsterdam
Winner National Sustainability Award Steel 2022 is:
- Biopartner 5, Leiden
For the first time, the Thumb of the Jury has been awarded to a participating project that, with its relatively small size or mass, may not be as eye-catching, but is nevertheless the epitome of an inspiring steel application. The Thumb of the Jury goes to:
- Three residential silos Harbour Club, Amsterdam
