LiemarX time registration at Swaans Beton

Swaans Beton from Heeze uses the LiemarX electronic time registration software from Liemar. It was a special project from the start: the concrete producer had almost unique preconditions to get and keep the software working. John Swaans, owner and director of Swaans Beton, talks about the challenge, the approach and the result.

John Swaans: "The software package we had was extremely outdated and no longer met our needs. We invited three parties to discuss our needs with us. Liemar was one of them. We really asked all our questions. Liemar had immediate answers to almost all of our questions, the rest followed shortly afterwards. Liemar also had a suitable solution for our 'special' wishes. That is why we chose them.

Special wishes

'Liemar's time registration already had many features, yet we still needed some customization. A major challenge was the hardware, in connection with concrete dust at the workstations. Liemar suggested using tablets in a special housing. They have a hard screen and, even under the harsh conditions in our halls, continue to work well. Because we don't have wifi everywhere, we connected them with UTP cables. This also makes them very fast. And should a connection be lost, no data is lost. The tablets are very affordable and reliable to use.'

Implementation process

John Swaans: "For a variety of reasons, the implementation process did not go as smoothly as we had hoped. The reasons were both ours and Liemar's. To our credit, we both still brought the project to a very good result.'

Jan van Hapert: "It was also a really special project for us. We gained a lot of new knowledge and developed our software extensively. What John wanted and got, everyone gets. We included everything in our total software package.

Registration at Swaans Beton

John Swaans: "The tablets hang in several locations, including near the machines at the workstations. Everyone checks in and out everywhere, so you know exactly who is where. We import the working hours and work locations of our people into the ERP package. From then on, we can extract an awful lot of information from the data. In case of a complaint, we can see who was responsible for the production of that product. That makes it possible to ask the right questions and do better together in the future. All hours are automatically linked to orders. This gives us insight into the time spent and its efficiency. If there are striking issues, you can immediately investigate them and - where necessary - improve them. In this way we improve the efficiency of our work considerably.'

About LiemarX electronic time tracking software

With Liemar's electronic time registration software, you can easily manage the presence and absence of employees.
