Steel fabricator invests in new ERP software

"We are switching to LiemarX ERP for steel construction," indicates Eduard Bouwhuis, director of Boma Staalbouw from Mariënberg.

"The reason for this is that the LiemarX software solutions fit our company perfectly. After all, we do complete construction projects, that is, from design to prefab foundation, steel construction, roof and wall cladding, et cetera. In other words, from A to Z."

the choice fell on LiemarX. Not only because of my feeling with Liemar, but also because of its flexibility. We are now im- plementing and will go life with LiemarX in 2020."

Peter van den Hurk, Manager of Project Design and Realization at Kingspan Light + Air, is pleased with the software developments that Liemar realizes for the organization. Brakel Atmos falls under the Kingspan Light + Air division. At Kingspan Light + Air, AVEVA Bocad is used very intensively.

In fact, Bocad also allows the organization to work with egg- gen profiles, a must for Kingspan Light + Air, Van den Hurk said. "In addition, a model can be generated fully automatically in Bocad from a product generator." Brakel developed that pro- duct generator itself. Liemar provides the mo- del generation in Bocad.

"We at Kingspan Light + Air model every project in Bocad and therefore automation in both the commercial and production phases of the project is the key to success. Knowledge of glass structures is essential at Kingspan Light + Air. This makes it somewhat more difficult to cope with peaks and troughs in planning. With the help of the right automation, however, this is possible. We can start making big steps faster," said Van den Hurk.

Kingspan Light + Air provides energy-efficient custom solutions for daylighting, ventilation, (fire) safety and maintenance. The organization manufactures these solutions from glass and aluminum structures for the gro- ter projects worldwide.

Last May 14, Liemar Software became an official partner of Exact Software Netherlands. This partnership has been confirmed by signing a Global Reseller Agreement.

With this partnership, Liemar Software is able to provide its existing, but also new (international) customers with an even better total solution, with maximum integration to the Exact software. Jan van Hapert (CEO of Liemar Software) is convinced that Exact software has extra functionalities which are very interesting for the steel and metal construction industry.

"We still expect a lot of growth in this market," indicates Jan van Hapert. "Internationally, there is no solution for steel construction like Lie- mar Software, which together with Exact's software offers so many solutions. Steel construction company moves to new ERP solution

Project Manager Rob Nikkels and Finance Manager Esmeralde van de Brandhof gave Liemar the green light to start implementing the LiemarX ERP software solution at VIETS.

Nikkels and Van de Brandhof did not proceed overnight. Thorough research into the desired functionality, comparisons with other providers, as well as reference visits were decisive. "The old package will be replaced by LiemarX" says Van de Brand- hof. Nikkels says he wants to "take steps" with LiemarX to work more efficiently. "The many modules that VIETS is going to use give us that possibility," he says. VIETS already has experience with ERP software but hopes in this way to stay one step ahead of the competition.

"After all, if it's a difficult project, that's when we as VIETS come around the corner. Straightforward work is not so much our thing," says Van de Brandhof. "We have a lot of specialist knowledge in house, which we bring in during the preliminary phase. That saves a lot of time in execution and prevents failure costs. We have confidence in Liemar and look to the future brightly!"
