Our consultant, Femke van Wel, has literally been working hard behind the scenes for the past year. To help our LiemarX users get ahead even faster, she has developed a new manual. To make it as easy as possible for you, you can open the manual in LiemarX. And right at the topic you're looking for.
There was already a manual for our software. But it was very outdated and in need of updating. Many of the newer features of our software were not yet included at all. Now there are a few more action items on Femke's to-do list, but most of it is done.
Femke: 'You can open the manual by clicking on the question mark at the top right of the screen. For example, if you open the tab 'employees' and you click on the question mark, you get to see that part of the manual that belongs to it. So you don't have to search for a topic yourself in the entire document. The entire document is about 180 pages long. That's nice as a reference book, but not for scrolling through if you want to know something quickly about a specific topic.
The challenge for Femke was: to write a manual that is usable by everyone, but does not go into too much detail. So it has become a reference work with a functional structure. Femke: 'If you look for example at 'cost centers', you will find a short overview of the how and why of cost centers in LiemarX. But in general the document is mainly practical in nature.'
'New LiemarX users are trained by us. Then you also receive the entire document. But if you don't use (part of) the program for a while, you sometimes forget how things work. You can always call us, but maybe the manual will help you get started right away.
Femke: "You can also upload your own version of the manual. For example, do you have a specific description of your procurement process? Then you can create your company-specific manual. You get the Word document of the manual from us, so you can describe your own working method on that basis. Then you can hang that specific document under the question mark.'
Are you using the manual and missing something? Then Femke would love to hear from you via femke.vanwel@liemar.nl.
