For the attachment of braces for concrete walls in combination with hollow-core slab and rib-cassette floors, Mavotrans in cooperation with fischer Benelux B.V. has developed the Mafi brace attachment system. A unique system consisting of the Mafi strut plate combined with the Fischer moment controlled strut anchor. This combination offers fast and efficient installation of braces, while ensuring maximum safety.
The Mafi bracing plate is used when fixing the bracing base with a single anchor is not sufficient due to the high loads occurring. The chamfer plate can be fixed to the floor with several anchors, which makes it easy to increase the load to be absorbed in the concrete.
This has the great advantage of requiring fewer braces.
The plate is made of hot-dip galvanized steel and is reusable. The brace plate is available in two sizes; type A (size 500 x 300 mm) for floor application and type B (size 240 x 240 mm) for both floor and wall application. The plates are fitted with one (type B) or two (type A) threaded pins welded through for fixing the strut. The threaded pin is fitted with a convex nut that guarantees optimum centering.
The Mafi shear plate is attached with the Fischer shear anchor FH II NL SCD. This anchor is the latest torque-controlled shear anchor for maximum safety. Thanks to the special ring, the shear anchor can be easily and safely inserted with an impact wrench. The torque-controlled ring guarantees that the anchor is inserted with the correct torque and also ensures that this torque cannot be exceeded. The green signal element becomes visible as soon as the correct tightening torque is achieved. This allows visual control of correct anchor positioning, even afterwards. The black plastic ring prevents the anchor from being tightened beyond the maximum torque.
The Mafi brace fixing system offers security, safety and also cost savings through the possibility of reducing the number of braces.
