TM ROCO is composed of Belgian construction companies BAM Contractors, Besix, Cordeel, DEME, Denys, Franki Construct, Jan De Nul, Van Laere and Willemen Infra.
The Right Bank subproject forms, via the Oosterweel node, the connection between the Scheldt Tunnel and the R1, both north and east.
In the process, the R1 will be completely deepened and partially roofed, so that the Merksem viaduct will disappear and the urban landscape will undergo a thorough transformation to change into a contemporary green and society-friendly environment.
To accomplish all this in the shortest possible time, it is necessary to temporarily construct a new R1 east of the existing R1.
The Rechteroever subproject has a scale and complexity unprecedented in Flanders, and ROCO is therefore particularly proud to win this project in a context where civil construction groups need such projects for their relaunch and as a stepping stone for the further development of their expertise, which should also benefit exports.
ROCO is confident of having the necessary special techniques in house at the technical level required for this large-scale project, which is a flagship for the civil sector.
At the contractual level, an operational form of contract based on openness, cooperation and trust between LANTIS and TM ROCO was chosen by customer LANTIS, in consultation with TM ROCO.
