Thanks in part to much media exposure, chromium-6 is gaining notoriety among clients, contractors and employers in the Netherlands. It is clear to many parties that they need to do something about chromium-6, but what? What methods of investigation are there and how do you determine which investigation is suitable for your situation? And what is the next step once chromium-6 is detected? How do similar parties in the market address the chromium-6 issue and what can you learn from them?
The approach to projects
During the second Chromium-6 conference on May 22nd, we will seek the answers to the above questions. We notice that there is a particular need for more insight and knowledge about specific approaches to projects. Under the guidance of several speakers, issues from various corners of the market will be addressed, each with their own approach. You are cordially invited to attend this conference.
About chromium-6
Chromium-6 has been used for decades in the paint and steel industry. The compound is added to lacquer or (primer) paint to strengthen it and prevent rusting. Treatment of coatings containing chromium-6 can release this substance. Chromium-6 in dust, fume or vapor form can be harmful to health. Not for nothing was the limit value for chromium-6 in air recently lowered and chromium-6 was added to the list of carcinogens of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport.
