The Netherlands, a beautiful country with magnificent architectural buildings and an extensive transportation infrastructure. A diversity of paved roads, energy-efficient homes, safe bridges and a large network of rail and waterways. A country with several airports, modern distribution centers and a sewage system we can be proud of. Actually so ordinary, but also so important to live, work and enjoy in.
We use some 15 million m3 concrete, which accounts for about 2% of total CO2 emissions in the Netherlands. The cement and concrete industry is aware of this and is working hard to reduce it. For decades, we have been leaders in the use of CO2-poor binders and durable concrete structures.
Symposium Concrete House June 25
There are new ambitious social issues to take one step further. This challenge is not easy and we want to solve it with you. Hence this Betonhuis symposium! By working more together in the chain, we ensure further sustainable and circular growth of the construction sector. We would like to enter into discussion with you. Where does the cement and concrete industry stand? What will it take to shape the climate transition? How do we achieve the goals of the Concrete Agreement. Where are the technical and circular limits at the moment? And how do we achieve even better results together? Betonhuis cordially invites you!
