The West Flanders company from Rumbeke has been producing drilling tools for foundations for more than 25 years, initially for its own use and later for third parties. In addition to the Olivier pile, it also provided other high-profile innovations, such as a valve system for the drill head of soil displacement screw piles and a drilling coupling in three different sizes.
The original Olivier pile consists of a metal tube, which is screwed into the ground vibration-free, displacing the soil laterally. The shaft is screw-shaped and thus particularly suitable for building on low load-bearing soil. The pile owes its name - soil displacing screw pile - to the fact that the soil is displaced laterally and does not rise to the surface along the top.
In 2017, Olivier Industrie obtained an international patent for an innovative valve system for the drilling tip of soil displacement screw piles. More and more foundation companies are using it because the system leads to significant time and money savings. Whereas previously the drill point was lost after every drilling, the Olivier valve system ensures that it can be reused every time. A significant advantage, especially when you know that over 150,000 soil displacement screw piles are drilled into the ground every year in Belgium alone. The expensive and cumbersome lost drill point is thus definitely a thing of the past. The valve system also ensures that the drill bit can be positioned much more accurately.
There are also advantages in terms of safety on site: drilling points no longer need to be placed manually, which greatly reduces the risk of industrial accidents. Thanks to the new system, in combination with the Olivier piles d36/56 to d61/81, the application of concrete and reinforcement through the pipe is perfectly possible.
The Olivier coupler is specially designed for making ground displacement posts and is available in three sizes. Due to its specific round design with 16 plugs, this coupling is easy to assemble and can always be disconnected without problems, even in the most extreme conditions. As the transport of long drill pipes is becoming increasingly problematic, the Olivier couplers allow several short pipes to be attached to each other in order to still be able to drill long piles.
To allow customers to work smoothly and efficiently with their innovative systems, Olivier Industrie offers intensive and targeted training courses for the drilling of piles through to the supervision and optimization of entire drilling crews on site. In addition, clients can always call on years of knowledge and experience. In case of any problems on a difficult site, Olivier Industrie comes on site for the necessary support. Production and maintenance take place in our own workshop in Rumbeke, where, on request and specification of the client, also other foundation accessories can be made.
Fully in line with its innovative DNA, Olivier Industrie continues to relentlessly develop new techniques and systems for the foundation sector.
