The story of steel

Clients from various sectors know how to find their way to Willems. From turnkey realization of industrial halls and large advertising columns to special constructions for amusement parks and complete super yacht superstructures; the latter in aluminum, by the way.

Willems is very centrally located in the Netherlands, also on the waterfront. "With our steel department, we make all kinds of structures in steel," explains Marcel van der Wielen of Willems. "Among other things, we specialize in hall construction, for which we take care of the complete steel construction from A to Z. We like to be involved at an early stage. We like to be involved at an early stage, so that our own engineering department can make the necessary optimizations. That is where our strength lies, solution-oriented thinking with our clients, not least because of our many years of experience."

Design freedom

The high degree of design freedom is a major advantage of working with steel, Van der Wielen continues. "Whether or not in combination with other materials, the most insane creations are possible. For example, we have produced image-defining noise barriers in combination with glass and concrete along various national highways, and we also supply structures for the largest amusement park in the Netherlands. Special steel structures for various 'attractions' come from us. The production of large advertising columns up to 40 meters high including a construction for large LED screens and steel pipe bridges for civil constructions also 'roll' out of our factory on a regular basis. Our facility in Boven-Leeuwen is centrally located in the country. For the larger constructions, Willems has a production location in Heijen on the waterfront. This allows us to transport large constructions without any problem."

In addition to structures in steel, Willems also specializes in stainless steel and aluminum. "In close cooperation with our clients, we always go for maximum results. Quality always comes first. We are also aware that the earth's resources are not inexhaustible and have sustainability high on our list of priorities," Van der Wielen concludes.
