The year-end closing of Stieva Metal Group

Without a good ERP package, a steel building or metal construction company has an enormous amount of work to do when it comes time for the year-end closing. Until 2015, the same was true for Stieva Metaal Groep. Much of that (manual and error-prone) work was eliminated for them when they started using Liemar 7. But by switching to LiemarX in 2021, they will have their hands completely free. Kaylee van Yperen, Head of Administration: 'We had our first real vacation after the turn of the year.'

'When we were working with Liemar 7, some things had to be done in the system around the turn of the year. For example, adjusting number ranges of projects and invoices. That had to be done before working in the new year. In LiemarX, this all happens automatically now, so we no longer have to arrange anything manually.

'Back then, Liemar 7 was already a breath of fresh air. Before that, we were using a rigid and far too general package. It just wasn't workable anymore. After switching to Liemar 7, we really noticed that this package was developed for our industry. The switch to LiemarX is another important step. We have now been using it for over a year and are very enthusiastic about the financial side, because it is even more user-friendly and even less error-prone. Of course, everyone has to get used to it and it's quite a change, but that's just part of the game. So much is possible that we have to make sure we choose the right option for the right situation.' 

Switching from Liemar 7 to LiemarX

In early 2021, Stieva Metaal Groep - after a year of preparation - switched to LiemarX: "We seized the opportunity to first think carefully about the structure and set-up of the system. As a result, we got to know the package through and through and were able to give courses to our colleagues ourselves in the last months of 2020. When we went live in 2021, everyone was prepared and we were able to start working smoothly.'

'Barry provided support from Liemar for the transition. We think he is just a fantastic guy. He took all the time for us and supported us step by step. Despite the limitations of the pandemic, we found a fine and productive cooperation. So it has all gone extremely well.'
