Successful implementation of Liemar at SIM Steel Construction

In late 2024, SIM Staalbouw and Liemar began implementing Liemar at SIM Staalbouw. The challenge was great, especially since SIM Staalbouw needed reliable steering information in the short term to achieve their ambitious growth targets. Jan van Hapert, general manager of Liemar, emphasizes, "From the beginning it was clear that we had to realize it within a tight schedule. We made very clear agreements about that.'

Despite the short timeframe, the implementation process went smoothly, thanks in part to good preparation, clear communication and intensive cooperation. Harry Seijkens, managing director of SIM Staalbouw, confirms with satisfaction: "Everything went as agreed. That is what is important in such projects: on time, within budget and without loss of production'.

Within SIM Steel Construction, the implementation has created positive developments. The organization is in full swing and experiencing growth, supported by clear goals and improved cooperation between the office and the factory. Jack Hoeks, controller at SIM Staalbouw, emphasizes this: "We knew it would be hard work, but also what we were doing it for. That gave us a foothold in making the choices for the future.'

Effective collaboration

What also contributed to the success was the pleasant and personal cooperation. Thanks to frequent and personal contact, issues were quickly discussed and resolved. During implementation days, effective adjustments were made and practical questions were answered immediately. According to Hein van Beers, Liemar consultant, this was decisive: "By closely following the established plan, the implementation went smoothly despite the time pressure. All information was delivered on time and this allowed us to efficiently go through the implementation steps.

Digital workshop 

We are currently busy rolling out the digital workplace, with tablets already in full use in the factory. The employees in production are looking forward to getting started with this new way of working.

With this successful implementation, SIM Steel Construction is taking an important step toward further growth and optimization of the organization.
