The eccentric adjustment ring Wyli Tension Disc was developed more than ten years ago by Erik Gerssen for installing tight wind braces. Due to rapidly growing demand, the company has entered into a partnership with Kobout. This specialist in fasteners has all the knowledge and capacity in-house for the smooth handling of individual parts. Preparations are in full swing to start delivery via Kobout from mid-September.

Kobout has been a partner for fastening materials in Western Europe for more than 40 years. Based on knowledge, a (very) wide range of products, and a team of more than 140 employees, the company serves thousands of customers in trade, industry, construction, and export every year. ‘Fast and good’ are of paramount importance. This means that all processes and logistics systems are designed in such a way that the chance of errors is virtually nil. Quality is not only guaranteed in the products themselves, but is also reflected in the packaging and the many options for tailoring deliveries to the customer's circumstances and wishes.

Regular agreements are made with manufacturers of various types of fastening materials in order to offer the most complete range possible. A real gem is the new collaboration with Wyli, which has developed a unique solution for creating tight, play-free wind bracing. Owner Erik Gerssen: ‘A tight wind brace is not always a given, despite the high dimensional stability of steel structures nowadays. A wind brace can easily bulge, rendering it effectively non-functional and certainly unattractive. Wyli is a solution that has more than proven itself in this regard, especially given its strong growth.’

The hot-dip galvanized ring complies with European requirements, is virtually invisible, and also saves 80% time during installation compared to other solutions. Gerssen: “They are now used for the play-free installation of wind braces in facades and roofs, but also to eliminate play in steel, scaffolding, greenhouse, and machine construction.”

Gerssen had been looking for a good partner for logistics and increasing turnover for some time. And above all, he was looking for a partner who knew the ropes in the concrete and steel construction world. He came into contact with Kobout, a wholesaler in fastening materials. Director Joost Kunst: “We clicked immediately, which is important for a good working relationship. It was also clearly a win-win situation: we can further expand our range with a special product, while Wyli can benefit from our logistics and sales team.”

It has now been agreed that the Wyli's will be stocked in practically all available versions and sizes. They can be delivered separately from this stock, but also as part of a total order. Including third-party products if desired. Kunst: “Our sales staff have been trained so that they have the necessary knowledge to give our customers the right advice. That's another example of Kobout's commitment to quality.”
