Yesterday's concrete for tomorrow

Northern Concrete Repair Afternoon.

On March 21, 2024 The Concrete Maintenance Platform (BOP) in Zuidwolde is organizing the 16th edition of the Northern Concrete Repair Afternoon. The theme of the afternoon is: yesterday's concrete for tomorrow. This afternoon is an excellent opportunity to share knowledge and to network with industry professionals and clients. And, of course, to keep abreast of the latest developments in the field of concrete repair. The lecture program consists of two parts of approximately one hour each. In between there is ample opportunity to exchange knowledge on the networking square.

BOP has all the expertise for sustainable concrete maintenance under one roof. In the first part of the lecture program, the five industry organizations behind BOP will take you through their approach to extending the service life of concrete. Following this, Rijkswaterstaat will give an overview of the challenge we face with regard to civil engineering works, the Transition Path that is being set up for this purpose and the intensified cooperation that RWS is seeking with the market.

The second part of the program will address the topic of "Structural Safety & Guaranteed Quality. What is the effect of chloride-initiated reinforcement corrosion on the structural safety of concrete structures? Floor Thijssen has done research on this and tells the latest facts. Technophilosopher Rens van der Vorst concludes the lecture program with a stimulating talk on the temptations of digital technology.

Would you also like to meet fellow professionals from the concrete repair and maintenance industry and think together with clients about the future of concrete? Then come to Zuidwolde on March 21.
