KOMO Certification Mobile Concrete Mixers

KOMO certification Mobile concrete mixers

Ready-mixed concrete also in small quantities

The traditional concrete mixers used to deliver ready-mixed concrete to the construction site are slowly disappearing from the scene. In their place we see the mobile mixers, which offer the user many additional advantages. Soon the mixers will also have the KOMO certificate, which guarantees their quality.

The mobile mixers are the product of Concrete Stations, a franchise concept for collecting small quantities of concrete and other  cement-based products. The stations - now ten in number - are spread throughout the Netherlands, in easily accessible locations. The mobile concrete mixer proves to be a godsend for many small users of concrete. Quickly and without dragging materials, they have the concrete in house, exactly in the desired composition. For this reason, the franchise organization is currently experiencing strong growth. It is betting on 40 collection points in the Netherlands.

For the smaller user
Initially, Concrete Stations focused on the small user of concrete. The concrete mixer for quantities from 150 to 2,000 liters and the right composition of sand, gravel, cement and water responded to the needs of contractors, landscapers, pavers, tilers, handymen and individuals. When it received increasing demand for larger quantities - for delivery from 2 to 10 m3 - Betonsta-tions expanded its product line with a larger mixer.

Many benefits
"The mobile mixers offer many advantages," says Herwie Cornelissen, director of Concrete Stations. "The customer receives exactly the quantity he needs and exactly in the desired composition. Should the composition not be to his liking upon delivery, it can easily be adjusted on site. After all, sand, gravel, cement and water are present in separate compartments in the mobile mixer. In less than ten minutes, the user has the concrete ready to use." The stations are also open six days a week. Thus, the customer can pick up the concrete - from 150 liters upwards - with a trailer, box truck or other means of transport or have it delivered - from 1 m3 - with a mobile mixer.

KOMO certification
As the use of mobile mixers increases, several Concrete Stations customers want to investigate the quality of the mixers. Do the mobile mixers meet the Concrete Guidelines - 'BRL' -.  for concrete and mortars? Are all the requirements, regulations and laws applicable to the product and the production process met? "To find out, one of our customers has now purchased the mobile concrete mixer and offered it for KOMO certification," says Cornelissen. "The accuracy of the machine appears to be excellent. The measuring and control equipment is still up for inspection at the Dutch Measurement Institute." If the quality of concrete mixers from betonstations.nl is guaranteed with the KOMO certificate, Concrete Stations has an interesting and recognized product for all concrete plants. They can then deliver the concrete even more easily with mobile mixers from 500 liters up to 10 m3.
