MATEXPO 2019: Perhaps one of the best editions ever

On Sunday, Sept. 15, under a bright sun, the counter stood at 39,778 visitors for the 38th edition of Matexpo.

A slight decrease compared to 2017, but on 1 thing the exhibitors already agreed: the quality of the visitors has never been so high. Interesting contacts, concrete interest in specific machines, direct sales,.... Probably the most qualitative edition ever. Several exhibitors confirmed that they were effectively able to sell many machines, and that is still the main reason to participate.

More than ever, exhibitors invested in hospitality: beautifully finished booths, and special tent structures combined with the well-known charm and congeniality of the Matexpo fair.

In addition, there was an extensive program of seminars organized by numerous trade fair partners. There was also a particularly high level of interest in these activities this year.
The official opening, on Tuesday, with keynote speaker Ivan Van de Cloot was another hit. The surprise act, a combination of modern dance and acrobatics, was much enjoyed by the more than 600 attendees who then enjoyed a networking reception and walking dinner.

During the awards ceremony Arden Equipment with Arden Jet won the Green Award, Van Der Spek the Innovation Award with the Liebherr plastic lifting cable for tower cranes and Doka with FreeFalcon the first Safety Award.

There was also children's entertainment, both at the fair, but also in the center of the City of Kortrijk, where children could build their own playground under the supervision of a real site supervisor.

Meanwhile, most exhibitors already announced that they will be present at Matexpo 2021, from Sept. 8 to 12.
