Nominees ION Borghardt Award 2021

The jury this year consists of:

• Jury Chairman: Arjan Mol; Professor of Corrosion Technology and Electrochemistry in the Department of Technical Materials Science at TU Delft
• Paula van Hoorik; Circular Economy Officer at Milgro
• Guido Verhoeven; General Director and inspirer of the SIM (Strategic Initiative Materials Flanders) as well as President of the Society for Materials Knowledge.

This year, the jury commissioned by Association ION paid particular attention to innovative solutions in the following four focus areas:

1. Sustainability of products, processes or companies in light of a circular economy
2. Craftsmanship
3. Cooperation including supply chain optimization
4. Innovative at market launch

The judges decided to nominate the following 6 entries (in no particular order):

• AD International in cooperation with Spuiterij Munsters
• Chemetall
• HS Protect
• Jonkman Coating
• Kluthe Benelux
• Q-Fin

The awards ceremony will be on Wednesday, Sept. 15 at 9:30 a.m. during Materials-Eurofinish-Surface 2021.
