Riwal acquires Swedish rental company Lipac

Riwal, rental and sales specialist of aerial work platforms and telehandlers, has acquired Swedish rental company Lipac. The acquisition is expected to be completed in early April.

Lipac was founded in 1972 and specializes in the rental of aerial work platforms and telehandlers. The company has five branches in central Sweden and its headquarters are located in Stockholm. Lipac has 37 employees and a fleet of about 1,000 machines, including scissor, telescopic and auto boom lifts and telehandlers.

Søren Rosenkrands, Chief Business Development Officer of Riwal, comments: ''Sweden is one of the key countries with the aim of strengthening our growth strategy. The acquisition of Lipac will significantly strengthen Riwal's market position in Sweden. Riwal and Lipac fit well together because both companies are specialists in aerial work platform rental and the branches combined have a good spread. We share a focus on delivering the best customer experience and core values such as safety and sustainability. We warmly welcome the Lipac employees to the Riwal family."

Per Hedebark, owner and Managing Director of Lipac, adds: ''We are pleased that our company is joining forces with one of the global leaders in aerial work platform rental. By combining our knowledge and resources, I am confident that we can further develop our joint activities in the Swedish market for the benefit of our customers. Lipac employees will from now on benefit from the new developments within the international Riwal Group."
