The steel industry has long since moved beyond cutting and delivery. Traceability, quality and circular reuse are playing an increasing role. Especially in sectors where reliability is not a point of discussion but a prerequisite.

Avezaat Staal responds to this by supplying material certificates according to NEN-EN 10204 where necessary. For all products, certificates are available from Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, DNV and the American Bureau of Shipping, among others. In addition, the company is authorized by DNV to take over markings, which further strengthens the assurance in the chain.

This certification provides assurance about the origin, chemical composition and mechanical properties of the steel. In applications such as shipping, offshore and other demanding industries, this is not a luxury, but a requirement.

Depending on project specifications, Avezaat Staal provides different types of certificates:

• 2.2 attestation - manufacturer's statement that the material meets the order specifications
• 3.1 certificate - steel manufacturer's document including test results
• 3.2 certificate - additional verification by both the manufacturer and an independent inspection party
