After the successful introduction of the P18Li vibratory screed with battery in 2019, Lievers Holland has taken the second innovative step in the field of concrete finishing machines with battery technology. Now there is also the K150Li with battery, the lightweight finishing trowel with a working width of 1.5 meters, with which the user easily makes any concrete floor strong and smooth. With this, Lievers Holland has taken another important step in the sustainable processing and finishing of freshly poured concrete.
In the construction world, battery-powered machines have been commonplace for some time, but within concrete construction this was not the case until recently. For this reason, the P18Li battery-powered vibrator was welcomed with open arms.
"It was immediately clear that we were on the right track," says Jowan van den Berg, Sales Manager at Lievers Holland. "The demand for electric emission-free machines is growing enormously. Developing a machine for the second processing stage of a freshly poured concrete floor - finishing the top layer - was then the most obvious next step. The K150Li therefore combines the power and technology of the P18Li with already existing technology and experience in the field of finishing chips. The batteries and charger are interchangeable."
The K150Li thus runs on a battery, is cordless and emits no CO2. This makes it the second zero-emission machine that Lievers markets. The finishing trowel has everything to smooth concrete floors after pouring, to bring them to maximum strength and to allow them to harden optimally. Especially for this function, the absence of a cord is an unprecedented advantage.
"The moment you want to smooth a floor, a cord like that is a terrible obstacle," Van den Berg stresses. "It won't be the first time that a concrete professional is accompanied by two people who have to keep the cord off the ground."
The minimum weight of 11 kilos - over 20% less than the gasoline-powered finishing trowel - also makes the K150Li attractive to use. The machine is excellent for one-person operation and optimally maneuverable. And then there is the durability aspect. By using a brushless electric motor, the machine has a longer service life and lower maintenance costs.
With all these excellent qualities, it is a true "Lievers product. Van den Berg: "It is our mission, together with local partners around the world, to bring safety, quality and efficiency to every professional working with concrete. The development of the K150Li fits completely in this line. In doing so, we have the ambition to lead the way in the sustainability of construction machinery. To make that happen, there is currently a team active within Lievers Holland focusing on making our production, processes and products more sustainable. We are quite proud of that."
