De Waalpaal receives Miniheim machine from VDH

Lead

The MPR-2000 was ordered by De Waalpaal as a replacement for an existing piling machine. During the development process there was intensive contact between VDH and De Waalpaal to ensure that the machine met the exact requirements as envisioned by De Waalpaal. Quality, safety and user-friendliness were central during the design process.

Naturally, the MPR-2000 also had to be a modern machine; this resulted in a machine where the piling process is strictly monitored by multiple sensors. In addition to achieving a high number of strokes per minute, the touch screen can display possible malfunctions making them simple to remedy. These sensors also ensure that possible malfunctions do not result in potentially dangerous situations because the piling process is automatically stopped in case of a malfunction. The use of modern techniques has resulted in an easy to operate machine where safety is guaranteed at all times. Both the software and the free fall winch of the MPR-2000 have been developed in-house at VDH.

About Customer

The Waalpaal was founded in 1911. In this year, people wanted to extract water from deeper sand layers and because iron pipes were expensive, it was devised to stack concrete pipes with a steel inner pipe. To force the pipes into the depths, complete steel beam frames were built with concrete or iron ballast on top. Discs and steel wires were used to pull the pole into the ground, so to speak. It was then quickly conceived to use the tube filled with concrete as a supporting pile as well. This is how De Waalpaal started as a foundation company! Since 2003 De Waalpaal has been part of the Van 't Hek Group.

De Waalpaal is often at the forefront of the development of new techniques and complex foundation solutions. As a partner, De Waalpaal is able to take care of the entire foundation process. So including soil investigation, probing and foundation advice.
