In the building and construction industry, joints are subject to various forces, such as tensile and dynamic loads. "The use of high-quality fasteners is essential to ensure the integrity of structures," says Thomas van Leeuwen, product specialist at Stafa. Among other things, the company supplies HV sets according to EN 14399-4/6 of the August Friedberg GmbH brand exclusively in Benelux and France, which are specially designed for dynamically loaded structures such as bridges. These bolts are mostly hot-dip galvanized, which ensures a longer service life and less maintenance. In addition to the HV preload bolts, both HV shaft bolts according to EN 14399-8 and injection bolts are available on request. 

Protection from the elements

Corrosion is one of the biggest enemies of metal joints. Stafa specializes in hot-dip galvanized fasteners and also offers various coatings to protect fasteners from external influences such as water, salt and other weather conditions. "In addition to hot-dip galvanizing, we also supply fasteners with zinc flake coatings, including Delta and Geomet," says Dick Koopmans, Manager at Stafa Industry. "These coatings not only provide corrosion protection, but can also be customized with additives for specific applications."

Customized solutions for construction

Standard solutions do not always meet the specific requirements of a project. This is why Stafa offers customized solutions, such as hook anchors that can be delivered with a pre-assembled nut or even attached to a plate. This facilitates installation on site and ensures a more efficient construction process. Van Leeuwen: "In addition, the expansion of the range with the Friedberg HV sets also contributes to more ease of use when tightening. Namely, the nuts are provided with a special AF-pro® lubrication. Thanks to the water- and dirt-resistant properties of this lubrication, the nuts can be used in all weather conditions in accordance with the standards."

Quality and reliability

These tests include tensile tests, hardness measurements, Charpy impact tests, optical inspections, salt spray tests and more - all to ensure consistent, reliable quality of every product delivered.
