ERP integration helps Finland's largest concrete products manufacturer stay ahead 

By implementing the ERP system erpbos®, Rudus Oy was able to replace several older systems with this one front-end system, which was specially developed to support all specific business processes in the precast industry. Rudus Oy, a CRH company, is Finland's largest manufacturer of concrete products and concrete-based building materials. In 2020, it chose Progress Software Development GmbH, a Progress Group company, as its digitization partner. The entire process chain from sales to planning, production, logistics, purchasing and invoicing is now perfectly integrated and centrally managed. The successful implementation was the start of a long-term cooperation that continues to this day.

Rudus' core business is concrete: concrete products, various aggregates and recycling. Wherever sustainable buildings and structures are built, the company is involved. Rudus' products are used in homes, industrial buildings and infrastructure. The company has two legal entities, 17 plants and about 200 end users, all of whom use the ERP system erpbos®.

With erpbos® as a central, digital platform, smooth vertical integration of all Rudus' business and production processes across the different factories is guaranteed. "Thanks to erpbos® we have been able to develop more transparent and aligned business processes within the company, and our factories now operate in an integrated way," emphasizes Product Group Director Antti Sirén.

Rudus has six product groups, each with different business processes: facades, stairs, ELPO (HVAC) elements, infra products, pipes & wells and landscaping products. Thanks to highly specialized sales configurators, all six product groups are now used in erpbos®. 

Because erpbos® has an open, customizable structure, it can be easily integrated into other systems. In the case of Rudus, the solution interfaces with its transportation supplier, reporting system, web shop, wholesale customers and ERP back office. Rudus also works with the mobile application, allowing users to interact with erpbos® whenever and wherever they want.
