The arrival of these experienced men will allow Baril Coatings to work on the further growth and commercial further development of the distinctive brands DualCure, SteelKote and the bio-based brands Copperant, fairf and Mommy Paint.

Nico Carp

Nico (54) started after his studies at the Higher Laboratory School as a (R&D) lab assistant at a producer and supplier of (wall) paints, decorative and spray plasters, BGI systems and mineral mortars. In a rapidly growing company, he eventually served as Operational Manager and partner within the company responsible for total Operations, from purchasing, quality, R&D and production to logistics. Last year the family business was sold to a French International and it was time for a new challenge. He found this challenge at Baril Coatings in the position of Production Manager. With 30 years of experience in the paint industry and a recently completed bachelor degree in business administration, he will fully dedicate himself, together with his colleagues, to build Baril Coatings into an (even stronger) innovative player in the field of sustainable paint systems, both industrial coatings and construction paints produced in Etten-Leur and Den Bosch.

With Nico's arrival, the position of Frank van Hofwegen, who was production manager for many years, was changed to Manager of Purchasing & Automation effective April 1.

Eric Kiebert

Eric (62) is an experienced force with a broad knowledge of the maintenance industry. He has been in the paints and coatings business for over 40 years as Technical Account Manager, including in the past the automotive sector (car refinish and commercial vehicle), construction, industrial (protective-, light industrial coatings) with various paint manufacturers. The sustainable mindset, distinctive character and future prospects of the Copperant brand have been the triggers for Eric to take this fine step. Eric adds: "It is a pleasure to represent this sustainable and colorful paint system. I like to help companies and organizations to implement joint ideas about sustainable protection and maintenance of homes or business premises, partly by recording this in a written recommendation of the paint systems to be applied, summarized in a multi-year maintenance plan (MJOP). The biggest kick I get out of realizing solutions for complex sustainable paint issues by applying new application techniques, product development or product modification. This in turn offers new innovated applications and growth of the Copperant system in existing and industrial markets."

Bob Roeters

Bob (53) has also made his mark in the paint business. He has been working in the sales and consultancy of paint and related articles for some 33 years now. Both in DIY, professional building paints, industry/shipbuilding and (mega)yachts he has gained experience. "I've stood in suspended boxes, aerial platforms and on scaffolding, as well as crawled through double bottom sections to inspect substrates and paint work and advise if necessary," adds Bob. In all those years, he has had the opportunity to represent the various brands and make paint recommendations for them. "When a vacancy came up at Baril Coatings, I didn't hesitate for a second and applied immediately. To be able to work for a brand like Copperant is great. An organization with an enormous vision and drive to develop, produce and market a paint that is sustainable, high quality and contributes to CO2 reduction to prevent climate change. In addition to this expansion of the management team and technical field service, a number of new colleagues have also started in the finance, KAM, marketing & communications, laboratory and production departments. With this team of enthusiastic people, Baril Coatings expects to be able to cope with further growth in the near future and to continue to increase the sustainability of its product range.
