Bolts, nuts, studs or hook anchors are usually homogeneous products that must meet certain standards and minimum quality. Often the distinction is made only on price. Kyocera-Senco, on the other hand, creates demonstrable added value for customers in terms of time and logistics. Meet the Value Added Services of the total supplier of mechanical fasteners.

Kyocera-Senco has been a regular supplier of fasteners for steel construction companies for many years. "Our focus is not only on supplying high-quality material, but also on providing additional services," says Dirk Jurriens of Kyocera-Senco. "We try to take out of our hands as many time-consuming operations as possible that our customers have to perform on site in order to actually use the fasteners. These include cutting threaded ends to size, creating hook anchor sets or packing and delivering fasteners in exactly the right numbers."

Own assembly department

Thus, in addition to a huge inventory, Kyocera-Senco also has its own assembly department. "Sawing work, putting together anchor sets or combining items into one package happens here on the assembly line," Jurriens continued. "Because we do this for almost all of our customers, we can combine projects and thus offer our Value Added Services at low extra cost. It is appreciated by our customers, whom we completely unburden in the area of fasteners. The time when we sent full packages of fasteners to the construction site is therefore long gone. Depending on the project and the agreements, the materials are delivered on a silver platter, just-in-time and nicely sorted per building component and phase, whether or not in crates or boxes. This also allows us to save substantially on packaging materials."

Fast and complete delivery

Kyocera-Senco's Value Added Services thus extend beyond its own warehouse. "We are now working on a project in which we are delivering fasteners in a standardized container at the construction site," Jurriens reveals. "With that, our client effectively no longer has to worry about stock. We ensure a timely 'refill' and an orderly supply. It saves an awful lot of time and precious hands on the construction site, allowing construction workers to focus on their primary task. By the way, we can deliver all our products from stock. Projects are becoming larger, more complex and therefore heavier. Whereas years ago a range from M12 to M24 was still the standard with occasional outliers to M30, today the emphasis is on M30, M36 and larger. We anticipated this in good time, so that today we can deliver from stock up to M48. And that's pretty unique, after all. Just like our fast and complete delivery before 7:00 am throughout the Netherlands.
