Concrete Design Competition

The competition is being held simultaneously in several countries, the upcoming edition also in Belgium, Ireland, Austria and Germany. The national winners will be allowed to participate in a week-long international master class completely free of charge. These 10e edition is special because it takes place during the 100-day world exhibition of contemporary visual arts Documenta in Kassel, Germany. Also special because this hands-on master class takes place at G.tecz in their laboratory for innovations in concrete. The international student teams get to work on a design in concrete and, supported by the staff of G.tecz, actually implement it (to scale). In addition, the winners receive a cash prize.

Theme 10e 2021-2022 edition

The theme of this edition is REIMAGINE. The interpretation can be taken broadly, but the focus is indicated toward the circular economy. "Imagine if we could take all concrete structures completely apart again and easily reuse them," Vissering says, "that could be one of the interpretations."
