Concrete is the most widely used construction material worldwide. Many forms of construction can be realized in a relatively simple and economical way. Delta Beton has long specialized in realizing a wide variety of concrete structures, from foundations and (monolithically finished) concrete floors to complete shell skeletons. "Technological progress nowadays makes it possible to combine aesthetics with strength, stability and durability," states director Paul Aerts.
Delta Beton is a well-known player in concrete construction in the Netherlands. "Quality, durability and safety are decisive in our work," states Aerts. "No project is the same, the client is central and trust is the basis for the future. The market in which we operate is and remains subject to changes in laws and regulations. This is why we prefer to work with the client from the design phase on the final result to be achieved. This working method leads to realistic planning, quality assurance and delivery reliability. After all, it is the end result that counts."
Everything about flooring begins and ends with Delta Concrete, Aerts says firmly. "We design and realize the perfect surface for every situation. In new construction and renovation, in industry, utilities and residential construction. Industrial floors, concrete structures or an impermeable floor? You name it and we'll make it. A steel fiber floor? We pour it. Foundations? We lay it. We are also happy to advise and support clients. For example, in determining the right floor for a specific application and/or with structural calculations. In short, we are a total partner to whom clients can turn for all 'floor matters'. That works faster and more efficiently and leads to better control of the construction process and a perfect end result."
One of the recent projects in which Delta Beton has asserted its added value is UPS's new distribution center at the GDC Acht business park in Eindhoven. It is the parcel delivery company's largest sorting and distribution center in the Benelux. Aerts: "We were allowed to make the floor here, some 35,000 m² in total." Delta Beton is regularly active in the logistics sector, as the Nuenen-based company also made an important contribution for Katoen Natie in Amsterdam. "This involved the realization of a large cocoa storage facility," says Aerts. Believe it or not, but Amsterdam is the largest storage and transshipment port of cocoa in the world and Katoen Natie has been working for ten years to gain a solid market position in this segment, in part through targeted acquisitions. "In addition to the foundations, we also realized the 9-meter-high walls, all poured on site."
Concrete also increasingly lends itself to creative expressions. "Thanks to the latest techniques, it is perfectly possible to give a color to a concrete construction. For example, we delivered the entire concrete work for two transformer houses for Stedin in Middelharnis. In the process, the walls were poured in color and with relief." A nice calling card for the concrete artists from Nuenen.
