Kingspan Insulated Panels supplies cold-formed profiles for the construction industry. The powerful brand that Kingspan has established is due in part to the high quality of its products. "We have achieved an edge by supplying the best steel quality and testing all our products independently. On the one hand, this makes it possible to achieve larger spans. On the other hand, together with our wide variety of thicknesses and heights, it provides interesting options for clients. We can also work with less steel, which makes the design economically and environmentally attractive," says Frans Romijn, area sales manager at Kingspan.
The Kingspan Group, founded in 1965, has hundreds of product locations worldwide. "Our products are used on a wide range of projects. From smaller constructions to large, renowned projects. Both at home and abroad and in the most varied climatic conditions." Kingspan Structural, part of the Kingspan Insulated Panels division, specializes in structural construction. From wall rails to roof purlins and from mezzanine floors to steel plate concrete floors.
All of Kingspan's structural profiles are made from high-grade steel and meet the strictest quality standards, so the company has a long history of proven reliability as its materials are continuously independently tested, backed by certificates that prove it. "Cold-rolled sections are of course known for their high load-bearing capacity and low weight, which allows for lighter construction and lower costs. However, where our competitors calculate with lump sum values, we can calculate with tested values. This allows us to realize larger spans, despite working with low weight profiles. This makes the construction even more economically attractive."
Under the name Multibeam and Multichannel, Kinspan produces wall rails and roof purlins with sigma profile and C-profile. The purlins are suitable as a substructure for all types of roofing and solar systems and the wall rails as a substructure for all types of wall cladding. Both are available in Sendzimir galvanized and Magnelis. The latter also makes the various products applicable in "aggressive" environments such as the outdoor climate or the agricultural sector. A wide range of different sizes and steel thicknesses gives the client access to interesting options. "It results in us being able to offer more options and provide a more interesting quotation," says Dr. K. K., who is also a member of the team.
For creating steel plate concrete floors, Kingspan produces the profiled steel plate Multideck. This makes it possible to create thin and lightweight steel plate concrete floors with a limited amount of concrete and minimal reinforcement. Again, Kingspan offers an extensive range, consisting of four different profiles with optimized geometry and multiple steel plate thicknesses. Thus, one can always find a profile that suits the project.
Kingspan has in-house engineers who, using their own software (Kingspan Catalyst), can make optimal design recommendations during the proposal phase. "This results in cost and time savings in the further course of the project. It fits well with our goal of relieving the client, from detailing to realization, as much as possible. This way, one can place the entire process with one party."
