The Dutch market for concrete mixers is gaining an important new player. The Belgian manufacturer De Buf, known internationally for its reliable, high-quality concrete mixers, is now officially available in the Netherlands. This is the result of a collaboration between Sjaak van der Wel (WijWelBetonmixers) and John van Wijk’s Mobile Truck Service. With a strong service network, ample inventory, and years of practical experience, this move promises to provide a fresh boost for contractors, transport companies, and concrete producers.
“Until recently, De Buf concrete mixers were hardly visible in the Netherlands,” says Van der Wel. “Although the brand was available, there was no official representation. That has now changed.” Based in Nieuwegein, WijWelBetonmixers and the Mobile Truck Service handle the dealership, including sales, maintenance, and parts supply. “This makes it considerably easier for Dutch customers to choose this high-quality Belgian brand.”

De Buf is a medium-sized manufacturer that produces all of its concrete mixers entirely in Belgium, using its own quality control systems. “The product line consists of mixers with capacities ranging from 9 to 17 cubic meters, available on both trucks and semi-trailers,” explains Van der Wel. “It is precisely in this segment that demand is growing in the Netherlands. Large mixers have become less common. Some manufacturers no longer build them themselves, or their supply is limited. As a result, companies are increasingly running into availability issues.” According to him, there is therefore clearly room for a brand like De Buf. “The quality is on par with established names in the market, while availability and flexibility are major advantages. Customers who previously had trouble getting quotes or deliveries can now count on an alternative that’s immediately accessible.”
A key distinguishing feature of the partnership between WijWelBetonmixers and the Mobile Truck Service is its unparalleled service. “From two fully equipped workshops in Nieuwegein and Utrecht, we provide support for both trucks and concrete mixers,” emphasizes Van der Wel. “It doesn’t matter what brand it is: in addition to De Buf, we also repair and maintain mixers from other well-known manufacturers. The Mobile Truck Service keeps all common parts in stock, which keeps downtime to a minimum.”
Aside from service and maintenance, Van der Wel has another major advantage. “We offer a unique rental service. Both stationary concrete mixers and trailer-mounted mixers are available in various capacities, ranging from 9 to 15 cubic meters, with a choice of diesel or fully electric powertrains.” He notes that no other company offers those stationary mixers for rent. “The rental service is being used extensively, both domestically and abroad. For example, four rental mixers are currently being used on a long-term basis for a project in Germany.”
With the arrival of De Buf concrete mixers, Dutch customers will not only gain access to an internationally renowned brand, but also to a comprehensive package of sales, rental, and service. “From our central service network in Nieuwegein, we guarantee fast delivery and expert support,” Van der Wel concludes.
