Layer thickness gauges, concrete gauges and material thickness gauges for various applications

Elcometer designs, manufactures and supplies inspection equipment for the coating, concrete and metal detection industries. The free Elcomaster data management software allows Elcometer inspection equipment to store and report measurements.

Johan Figlarz, responsible for marketing and sales at Elcometer: "One of our many products is the Elcometer 456 coating thickness gauge to measure the coating layer on a ferrous or non-ferrous substrate. This allows you to measure not only the thickness of coating and paint layers, but also how thick a gold layer is, or even a layer of dirt in a ventilation system. That's the beauty of this product: a coating can be anything and is all around us. We have many customers in different industries, even the cosmetics industry." 

Specifically for construction, Elcometer has a layer thickness gauge that can measure coating layers on concrete, concrete gauges that measure where reinforcement is located and material thickness gauges. This ultrasonic material thickness gauge can measure the thickness of almost any homogeneous material. Elcometer supplies these gauges to contractors, construction companies, steel manufacturers and steel processing companies, among others. 

Figlarz: "From our sales office in Utrecht, we supply the Dutch and Belgian markets. But Elcometer has 170 distributors worldwide, Elcometer instruments are really available everywhere."

Recently, Elcometer acquired two other companies. "Since last year, we have been manufacturing and supplying mobile blast pots thanks to the acquisition of Blastline Ltd. And recently we acquired Sagola, a Spanish manufacturer of paint guns. But we also continue to grow organically. There is an increasing demand for coating inspection equipment, as more and more stringent requirements are placed on products and processes. In addition to measuring, reporting the measured values is becoming increasingly important, with the free Elcomaster data management software for PC, iOS and Android mobile devices this is easy to achieve." In short, Elcometer is in full development.
