The new generation of premixed ultra-high performance cement with durable bonding technology

Since November 2018, AALBORG EXTREME has been^TM LIGHT120,   the new generation of premixed ultra High Performance Concrete (UHPC) based on AALBORG WHITE^®-cement, available on the market. The product was first proposed in Europe and has been available in the U.S. and China since January 2019.

AALBORG EXTREME^TM LIGHT120 is the first commercialized product under the AALBORG INWHITE SOLUTIONTM brand. It acts as an innovation engine for  technologically advanced products based on White Cement that deliver high added value. The Innovation Team, led by Group Sales, Marketing & Commercial Development and working together with the R&D Lab in Aalborg, has succeeded in breaking through the boundaries of traditional technology for the use of White Cement. The emphasis is on innovation and environmental protection to support the development of sustainable industrial products.

AALBORG EXTREME^TM LIGHT120 is based on Cementir Holding's recently patented sustainable bonding technology, FUTURECEMTM. This technology produces highly advantageous pozzolanic reactions without being limited by the availability or quality of waste materials from other industries that minimize environmental impact. The premixed UHPC product is fully documented with predictable performance. This allows it to be tailored on-site within a predetermined range to optimize production cost and efficiency.

NEW GENERATION OF UHPC HAS GREEN GENES
The successfully developed, complex bonding technology behind the UHPC product is due to a synergy between the Innovation Team, Research & Quality Centre in Aalborg, Denmark, and the Global Sales Team of Cementir Holding. AALBORG EXTREME^TM LIGHT120 is based on a further refinement of the sustainable bonding technology FUTURECEMTM. This technology uses a unique selection of raw materials from suitable natural sources that exhibit superior pozzolanic reactions and are not limited by the availability and quality of waste materials from other industries.

A FULLY DOCUMENTED PRODUCT WITH PREDICTABLE PERFORMANCE
AALBORG WHITE^®, a recognized and trusted global brand, is the White Cement used in the AALBORG EXTREME^TM LIGHT120. Among other things, it offers improved interaction with blenders and predictable and reliable UHPC performance due to its high degree of chemical purity and the inherent stability of its grade.

AALBORG EXTREME^TM LIGHT120 was developed as a safe and reliable solution for making UHPC products. It was designed to successfully meet the requirements of industrial producers, while allowing customers to choose the color (other than the original white), fiber type and dosage. The solid UHPC blend has high viscosity, but also excellent flow properties with a drying time suitable for industrial use. The product turned out to have the perfect properties to meet the market demand excellently."

The premix product provides an easy solution for safe and clean production of high quality UHPC elements for a typical industrial production process, thanks to its excellent properties, especially:

AALBORG EXTREME^TM LIGHT120
A low shrinkage, ready-to-use, self-compacting high performance cement for the production of thin cement products with high aesthetic, mechanical and durable performance. Includes binder, mixers and aggregates, only water needs to be added during mixing.

After mixing with water, the product results in a white high-performance cement that can be adjusted as desired in terms of pigment. Due to its good fluidity, fibers can be added to adjust mechanical properties while maintaining self-compacting characteristics.
