Nice of you to attend the 2020 Concrete Event! Can you give a sneak preview of what you will be doing?

We are busy consulting and brainstorming with our ENCI and unfortunately cannot give a sneak preview yet!

What was the main reason for you to participate in Concrete Event 2020?

We are curious to see what one and all will look like, this will obviously be a new experience for everyone.

How do you prepare in person? At physical fairs you often make arrangements in advance, will you do the same now?

We are going to inform our clients that we are participating in this event. Depending on the response we receive to this, we may schedule appointments. This is also new for our clients so we don't know yet how they will react to this either.

Nice of you to attend the 2020 Concrete Event! Can you give a sneak preview of what you will be doing?

We are also incredibly looking forward to it! At the Concrete Event 2020, we are going to organize at least two break-out sessions. These will be two mini-lectures in the form of webinars where we will show real-life examples. We will explain what are pre-eminent projects to do with heavy concrete. But also that you can use our material, loose or incorporated in concrete, for heat storage.  

What was the main reason for you to participate in Concrete Event 2020?

The only way forward is through innovation. This is true for all kinds of facets of business and so is promotion. Corona makes our lives different and then it is positive to embrace such change and participate. We also notice ourselves that our webinars now draw a lot of people, so we definitely believe in the power of a digital event. When we saw how professionally the Concrete Association handled the event we knew for sure that we wanted to participate.

What do you guys think of this initiative?

We find it very progressive that the Concrete Association has tied the knot and is going for an alternative event instead of postponing. It remains important to meet new people and gain knowledge, network and promote. That this can also be done digitally, we are convinced. In short, a positive initiative. 

Where is the added value of an online event versus a physical trade show and vice versa?

The advantages of online are for the visitor that there is no travel time, you may be able to see even better which companies you will "visit" and which sessions you will attend. As a company, it is nice that networking sessions are organized and we might get in touch with even more people than at the fair. What of course is not possible is to feel a product and see it up close, which always gives a different feeling than from a picture. It would not surprise us if the future becomes a nice mix of both digital and physical.

What was the main reason for you to participate in Concrete Event 2020?

Komexo has been a loyal participant in the annual Concrete Day for many years. This year is no exception, either. Automation is a necessity for organizing this type of digital event, which is just as a good automation solution is necessary for all concrete companies.

How does your company prepare for an online event?

For Komexo, the Concrete Event will be the first digital event we will participate in. We attended the presentations of the Concrete Association in the run-up to the Concrete Event to get a feel for the Event. This was presented in a good and clear manner. Internally and in consultation with our advertising consultancy, we have now had a number of sessions to start shaping the presentation(s).

In addition, in this Corona era, we have since gained a fair amount of experience in presenting our solutions in digital meetings.

How do you prepare in person? At physical fairs you often make arrangements in advance, will you do the same now?

As usual, we want to start recording these appointments in advance. We are also 'refreshing' and 'updating' our digital expressions. Think of our website, digital magazines, newsletters, etc..

Nice of you to attend the 2020 Concrete Event! Can you give a sneak preview of what you will be doing?

Especially for this occasion, we are building a virtual booth. There we will also host two break-out sessions. Together with one of our customers, we will show how we have taken the quality, logistics and production process to a higher level. We will also take a look into the future in terms of automation in our industry and discuss the opportunities of technological developments together with the guests. 

How does your company prepare for an online event?

In preparation for the online event, we put together a project team that includes several specialists from our company. In this way we look together at how we can be of value to the event. Our clients and visitors to the event play a role in our preparation. All this to be as relevant as possible.

What do you guys think of this initiative?

Right now, everyone is forced to be creative with what is possible and what is allowed. The 2020 Concrete Event is a perfect example of this.

Where is the added value of an online event versus a physical trade show and vice versa?

We will certainly miss actually having a drink together at our booth. However, an online event does offer the opportunity to focus more on the content of the questions and providing relevant information because you can streamline the hectic pace of a trade show in the process.
