Bas van Maris started at the Concrete Association

Since Monday, February 24, 2020, the Concrete Association has employed a new staff member. Bas van Maris joins the association office as employee Seminars & Congresses and will also take on an important role as employee Communication. Bas comes from the event industry and has extensive experience in project management and communication.

A future-proof Concrete Association

With the arrival of Bas, the Concrete Association takes another step towards a future-proof and modernized association. Maikel Jagroep, director of the Concrete Association, is pleased with the reinforcement. "Attracting professionals in the field of communications and events is therefore a logical step from our objectives to innovate, to be more and better in touch with our members and stakeholders, as well as to increase visibility. Thus, Sandra Broekhof started last year and will further expand the team with the arrival of Bas. I am confident that with his knowledge and experience he will be of value to the Concrete Association and can help us achieve the objectives."

About Bas van Maris

Bas van Maris (1985) has worked for several event agencies and organizations, where he realized a variety of events and communication projects. In recent years Bas has been working in the role of project manager, the last two years of which at Activo. Here he was responsible for the development and supervision of communication projects for dozens of congresses, fairs and other business meetings in various sectors. Often commissioned by event agencies, but also directly for clients from the public and private sectors.

Bas: "For years, my passion has been organizing events and everything to do with (live) communication. I am therefore happy to start working at the Concrete Association to use my knowledge in this field and build a bright future together with the team!"
