Working smartly and efficiently has been a matter of course for some 55 years at Reijrink, winner of the National Steel Award in 2020. That includes continuous investment in people and resources, smart automation and future-oriented innovation. It is an approach that has since led to wonderful results. Such as a resounding customer base, a fine reference list and two modern, fully equipped production facilities at Industrieterrein Mierbeek in Esbeek (municipality of Hilvarenbeek) and Industrieterrein 't Vaartje in Someren-Eind. "We help build industrial halls, distribution centers, parking garages, office buildings, cinemas and sports halls, among other things," director Willem Reijrink confirms his company's versatility. "Projects for which we have everything on board. For example, we were one of the first to apply robotization, we have an extensive equipment fleet and we have a close-knit team of approximately 140 enthusiastic professionals. Specialists whose golden hands make the difference every time."

New production site

Whereas in Someren-Eind, Reijrink mainly focuses on the fabrication of heavier steel construction work (including trusses), the main branch in Esbeek mainly produces conventional steel products. Engineering, planning, work preparation and project management are also carried out here. All this has been done from a brand-new production site for the past year and a half. "Around the replacement of our old machinery, the opportunity arose to buy a 25,000-square-meter piece of land right behind the existing factory hall," Reijrink said. "Those two facts eventually resulted in the construction of a new, state-of-the-art factory and the installation of a ditto machine line. While we have since been using our old factory to assemble our products, our new accommodation has been operational for about a year and a half for the production of various steel structures for commercial construction." The showpiece within that process is the Fabricator, installed early this year, a state-of-the-art welding system that enables Reijrink to be one of the first producers in Europe to attach and weld steel structures completely automatically. After the beams required for this are unloaded, they pass successively through the blasting machine, drilling line, sawing line, scribing machine and cutting robot. Afterwards, The Fabricator provides the finishing touch by attaching the sheet metal fully automatically to the machined beams. "A nice added value to our already extensive range of products and services," concludes Reijrink.   

Varied steel construction

Hessing Supervers is building the 'Factory of the Future' in Greenport Venlo. Commissioned by Bouwbedrijf van de Ven, Reijrink is providing the steel structure for this project. This consists of almost 2.5 million kilos of steel. It is a highly varied steel structure which includes all aspects, such as full beams, trusses and castellated beams. The preservation of the structure includes spraying, galvanizing, powder coating and a duplex coating (galvanizing and two-layer powder coating).
