Since 1979, the Concrete Association has presented the prestigious Concrete Award every two years. So again in 2026. The winners are leading projects in the concrete construction industry to increase knowledge and expertise throughout the Dutch concrete sector. These projects are examples of intelligent, responsible, future-oriented, valuable and inspiring applications of the material concrete.
Eligible for the Concrete Prize are structures (in the broad sense of the word) or parts that have been realized in the Netherlands by Dutch or foreign companies. Projects realized abroad by Dutch companies may also be considered with the condition that there must have been a substantial contribution of Dutch concrete expertise.
The Concrete Prize is awarded in six different categories:
An independent jury nominates some of the projects submitted in each category and determines the winner.
There is also a Public Prize for the nominated projects. For this, visitors to the Concrete Event vote for the project that most appeals to them out of all the nominees. We award this prize once, so not per category. Therefore, a project can win both the Public Prize and the category prize, but it can also go to a nominated project that the jury did not select as the winner.
The opportunity to register your project will be available starting next May 4. Keep an eye on the Concrete Association's website for this: www.betonvereniging.nl
