is Dirk Hoogenboom. He started his precast concrete Web store in 2005. "The Internet was still in its infancy then and it was far from familiar to everyone. I was a bricklayer at the time and ran into the problem that I couldn't get post caps and wall covers anywhere. I decided to solve that problem for colleagues by offering them over the Internet." That was the beginning. Since then, betondingen.nl's assortment has expanded to over 6,000 different and unique concrete products.

Concrete Benefits
Betondingen.nl focuses mainly on precast concrete elements for public areas such as schoolyards and gardens. These include concrete piers, U- and L-elements, curb stones, post supports and foundation tiles. But the online store also offers decorative products such as decorative balls, corner stones and water elements. "Pefab concrete elements offer many advantages," Hoogenboom says. "They require little maintenance, fit in with the look of the times and are vandal-proof and durable." Those who place their orders before 3 p.m. will have them delivered the next day.

Foundations and foundation stones
A runner within betondingen.nl is the concrete post, mostly used under the posts of verandas, conservatories and canopies. "In the past, canopies were founded with wooden poles that you lowered 50 cm into the ground. After ten years the pile was rotten and you started from scratch again. With the concrete piles, the piles have a sustainable foundation. We deliver the bases to the front door. The user only has to transport them to his project. With a crane, that's pretty easy."
