Cordless poker vibrator provides greater freedom of movement when compacting concrete

Concrete is one of the most widely used building materials worldwide. If the composition is correct and processing is done properly, concrete is also durable, strong and economical. Lievers Holland offers the expertise, machines and service with which craftsmen can safely, quickly and efficiently realize high-quality concrete. Innovation runs like a thread through the history of this specialist from Mijdrecht, which today introduces a revolutionary lightweight battery-powered concrete vibrator. The cordless P18Li thus provides more freedom of movement on sites and in the workshop, improving efficiency and productivity.

The Dutch are known worldwide for their construction and infrastructure works, as well as for their know-how in the field of materials handling, especially concrete. Lievers Holland is one of the leading international specialists in concrete processing solutions. "For more than 60 years we have specialized in the development and production of machines and tools for processing, handling and finishing freshly poured concrete," says Sales Manager Jowan van den Berg. "Our product range includes vibrating needles, motors and tables, troweling machines, high-frequency converters and forcing mixers."

Reliable vibrating needles

Innovation has been at the heart of Lievers Holland since its inception. Thus, back in the 1960s, the company introduced an advanced line of poker vibrators to meet the demand of construction companies for a suitable solution to compact freshly poured concrete. Indeed, the vibrations of the vibrating needles ensure that the amount of trapped air in the concrete is reduced to a minimum and that the aggregates, which have different grain sizes, are optimally arranged. This results in a good concrete composition. Today, Lievers produces a wide range of vibrating needles for use in a wide variety of applications, including floors, foundations, beams, walls, piers, bridges, roads, tunnels and viaducts. "We offer craftsmen a wide range, including hand-held poker vibrators powered by electricity and with a gasoline drive unit, high-frequency concrete vibrators with and without an integrated inverter, pneumatic systems and mechanical solutions," indicates the Sales Manager. "These reliable poker vibrators have maximum impact force and ensure that the desired quality and strength are achieved quickly and efficiently with virtually any concrete composition."

Revolutionary battery-powered solution: P18Li

Lievers Holland continues to invest in innovation. While in the past only mechanical systems were used for the production and processing of concrete, today solutions powered by electricity are mostly chosen. Increasingly, the demand for cordless systems was also echoed. "That's why we developed our P18Li, a revolutionary lightweight solution, based on the P14E electric handpole vibrator but with battery drive. This way, we give the craftsman more freedom of movement on the job site and in the workshop, ensuring increased efficiency and productivity," Van den Berg explains. "A specially designed brushless DC motor drives a flexible shaft at only four thousand rpm. Because of the clapper vibration system (pendulum), the vibrator still produces twelve thousand vibrations per minute, which together with the large amplitude ensures perfect concrete compaction. This cordless concrete vibrator comes standard with two batteries, is equipped with an easy-to-use pistol grip with switch and guarantees a quick change of hoses." The P18Li was first shown at Bauma and is aimed primarily at small and medium-sized construction companies, although large firms are also interested. As of now, the first units are also available at Dutch dealers.
