Since 2004, Transport Maintenance in Nieuwegein has been operating as a universal specialist for maintenance, repair and modification of all makes of trucks, trailers and concrete mixers. Under the motto "without transport maintenance everything falls silent" everything is arranged under one roof. And recently the service has gone one step further. Also for renting or buying a stationary concrete mixer, whether or not completely emission-free, you have come to the right place at Transport Maintenance.
A concrete mixer should be stationary as little as possible. "We perform maintenance and repairs on all common brands and are also certified to perform MOT inspections and tachometer calibration," begins John van Wijk of Transport Maintenance. "We also include the annual mandatory mixer inspection, in addition to the truck's MOT, right away. So an entrepreneur is only once his concrete mixer for the periodic inspections and tests. That saves a lot of time, arrangement and driving back and forth."
Transport Maintenance has a large inventory of parts for all common concrete mixers, including specific wear parts and filters. In addition, the specialist excels in on-site service and assistance.
"We have a 24/7 breakdown service with our own service truck to get stranded concrete mixers on the road throughout the country," Van Wijk explains.
"If that fails, we have good contacts with salvage companies to have the vehicle towed to Nieuwegein. If there is a technical failure of the drive unit, for example, we can simply keep the mixer running with our mobile emergency kit so that the mortar can be pumped over into another mixer if necessary. Then our skilled mechanics can fix the breakdown in peace and quiet in our workshop."
For some time now, Transportonderhoud has also been engaged in the rental and sale of stationary concrete mixers. "We were able to put our years of experience in maintenance and repair of concrete mixers to good use in the development of a new generation of stationary concrete mixers," says Van Wijk. "We now have five units in the rental fleet both with diesel drive and fully electric. The latter is groundbreaking, especially when you consider that the mixer can run completely autonomously without power supply. Sustainable, but without concessions. In addition to zero emissions, the electric mixer also produces hardly any noise. An aspect that is increasingly important especially in an urban environment."
Transport Maintenance builds the stationary concrete mixers to customer specifications if required. "In principle, the capacity ranges from 9 to 12 m³, but we have also already delivered one with 6 m³ capacity. We can respond quickly and flexibly to special requirements. In addition, in recent years we have been very active in refurbishing old concrete mixers. A service that arose not only from the idea of sustainability but also because of the long delivery times from manufacturers. Finally, we are in the process of developing a 3-axle steered trailer with 15 m³ mixer body that meets the latest specifications of the RDW. More on this lightweight combination will follow later," Van Wijk concludes.
