Certacon acquires operations of wall carrier producer Muurkracht

Certacon B.V, an operating company of Hakron Group, has acquired Muurkracht effective September 1. The Muurkracht brand will continue to exist as a division within Certacon and focuses in particular on standard steel lintels, Muurgrip masonry reinforcement and the Muurkracht G wall girders.

In addition to the stocks and customer base, Certacon is also taking over the entire staff of Muurkracht. This staff will operate at the same location as Certacon, which has recently been operating from its new office and warehouse in Harderwijk.

Pascal van Herk, commercial director of Hakron Groep explains, "With this acquisition of the activities of Muurkracht, we strengthen Certacon in the field of standard steel lintels. Moreover, by combining the two Engineering departments, we increase our engineering capacity, allowing us to better process the many requests and orders from our regular customer base. In addition, we can also better honor the requests of new and potential customers.

With the Muurkracht gable supports from the G-line we add a single plate gable support to our range, which together with our Multi D gable support offers a very competitive and also technically high quality program to the market. With this acquisition, Certacon becomes one of the bigger players on the market and we can also better respond to the larger projects on the Dutch and Belgian market."

Bart van der Heijden, commercial director of Wall Power, adds: "As a relatively small player in the market for gable supports and lintels, we were looking to connect with a larger player.
